SRM Dome 106 Selected as Editor’s Choice by Messer Magazin

"The Dome combines the proven slip joint mechanism with a back spring and two different opening options. In addition to the classic nail nick on the left, the blade has a double-sided thumb stud. This makes the Dome the only knife in the comparison that can be operated with one hand. Since the blade does not lock, the knife does not fall under the restriction mentioned in § 42a WaffG despite the one-handed opening. The exception does not apply to weapons prohibition zones and public events – but this applies to all knife types."
"The rust-resistant Swedish steel is very balanced. It can be sharpened comparatively easily and offers a very good combination of toughness, edge retention, and corrosion resistance. Structured G-10 scales in "Dark Desert" with only color-indicated bolsters provide grip without making the handle unnecessarily heavy. In contrast to many others, the clip is not designed for "deep carry", which, however, brings advantages when gripping. However, it is not reversible."
"Great slipjoint with a strong spring and functional half-stop, where the one-handed operation also wins me over."

"One of the new knives particularly appealed to me as an everyday companion – and largely because it is simply practical. Because with its one-handed operation and the clip, the SRM Dome offers essential features of modern folders. And thanks to the strong spring and the engagement after about 80 degrees, the fingers are still quite well protected in the event of a mishap. In addition, you can also cut very well with this modern-looking knife. And so it went "click" between us."
Upcoming Dome Version Without Thumb Stud

This new iteration will focus more strongly on the traditional character of the slip joint.
By removing the thumb studs and retaining the classic nail nick for two-handed opening, the upcoming version will present a purer traditional slip-joint design. Its styling will also lean further toward the aesthetics of classic utility knives and gentleman’s folders.
It is another step in expanding the Dome family and offering different interpretations of the same core concept.
Thank You, Messer Magazin
